Succeed On The Internet

Ninety-seven percent of people who try to succeed on the internet fail. In fact, most websites vanish into obscurity with little or no traffic. That is the brutal fact. It must be faced by anyone who is seriously looking at the internet to either be a source of income or to channel people to an "off internet" business - whether it is a home business or a store front business. In this short article, I will point you in the right direction for using a website on the Internet to develop an income or to boost the income of an established business. To be honest, if all you want is a website that is simply a fancy business card for an already established operation, then this article is not really for you.

If you are a small business or work-at-home parent, you may be thinking about the financial investment necessary to run a top quality income-producing website. People and companies can flush $1,000's of dollars down the drain trying to succeed on the internet only to be met with failure. You and I do not have the time or money to waste on projects that are nearly always doom to disappear.

The other concern that you may have, is that you do not have the technological skills [or the desire/time to learn them] for building your own profitable website. You could, of course, hire someone/company to build it for you. The problem with that is it can cost a great deal of money without any greater chance of success than if you did it yourself, plus you have to rely on someone else [usually at extra charges] to make changes or updates to your site. In my opinion, using someone else to build your website is only good if you want it just as a fancy business card and are not looking at it to produce or refer income in and of itself. What you will discover below is a way to build a top quality income-producing website inexpensively with no more knowledge of computer programming than how to move a mouse.

If you are a business person who wants to succeed on the Internet you need three things:

1. Hard Work
2. The Right Idea
3. The Right Tools

Hard Work

If, like many others, you are looking to succeed on the internet as some kind of easy money, get-rich-quick idea, then you will be disillusioned. If you are to have success, you must view it as a business. It will take time and effort. True, as a work-at-home business, you control when and how you work it, but you must work it if want to have it work for you.

The Right Idea

You may already have an idea of what you would like your website to be about [this is specially true if you are planning to relate it to an already established business], or you may have absolutely no idea what it should be about. The first thing to do is think about your own interests and hobbies. What is it that really excites you. Chances are, with a little refining, you have the makings of a really good website on your hands…and you will have ton of fun doing it! Of course, if your interest is left-handed, red-haired people who play the drums you may have to think a little larger.

If you are stumbling for ideas or don't know what will work well, put your mind at ease, this is not an area you need to worry about. You will be walked through step-by-step how to choose a website theme [and domain name] that you enjoy and that will also excite the imagination of others. All the good ideas have not been taken…there is plenty of room for you.

The Right Tools

There are plenty of companies out there who will offer to put up your website. Many of them offer tools to help you do so. Some are free, some charge. How do you know which one is right for you? How do you know you will get the tools you will need to succeed on the internet?

The company I use and highly recommend is Solo Build It. They are easy to use [just point your mouse] and have top-of-the-line tools to do everything from submitting your pages to the search engines automatically, building your pages, adding links, communicating with your visitors, checking your pages to be sure they are search engine friendly and much more. They are always adding to their tool collection, but never to their price. You get everything at one cost, no "up-grades" to get what you really want. They are focused on helping the small business person succeed on the internet including step-by-step instructions on how to pick and refine your theme and all the other details that go into making a successful business.

Don't take my word for it. Check it out for yourself. Watch the videos below. Check out other companies. I believe that, like me, you will see that Solo Build It is in a class by itself. If you have questions, you can ask their friendly staff or send me an e-mail and I will be happy to help.
